The Starbound developer who made this change seems not to have realized that some monster behaviors also use this C++ function, which means that those monsters can now open doors while pathfinding. In the 1.4.x update, code that allowed NPCs to open doors while pathfinding was moved from the Lua `moveToPosition` function into the C++ `ntrolPathMove` function.
